Peter Parker is covering the opening of an impressive sky-scraper.One remarkable aspect of the building is that its safety features are controlled by a sophisticated computer, CMB 958.
The opening is interrupted when Forrester, an ex-army major, and his band of terrorists sabotage the computer and load the building with explosives.
Forrester captures the guests at the opening and demands ten million dollars for their release.
When the police give in to their demands Forrester and his men make their escape - destroying the computer but leaving behind Farnum.
Peter captches up with Farnum and gets him to divulge where Forrester's gang went.
Spidey hunts down and captures all the villains.
