When ex-politician James Colbert is released from prison after his part in a campaign funds scandal, Rita and Peter try to convince Jonah Jameson to let him write a report on prison conditions.
When ex-politician James Colbert is released from prison after his part in a campaign funds scandal, Rita and Peter try to convince Jonah Jameson to let him write a report on prison conditions.At the same time a riot breaks out in Colbert's former prison and the rioters will only talk to him.
He meets with the riot leaders alone, but in reality is in league with them. They are planning a major caper.
A few days later, Rita is scheduled to sing at the prison. Peter is leaving to attend the concert when a bomb planted at his flat by Colbert goes off.
Peter escapes injury and rushes to the prison, arriving in time to witness a second blast. In the confusion, Colbert's confederates, Cates and McTeaugue escape.
Peter, Rita and the reporter Julie follow Colbert and overhear him planning a robbery with his henchmen. But the criminals discover the three and capture them.
Peter escapes and, as Spider-Man, intercepts Colbert and his men as they rob a financial company. In the ensuing scuffle McTeaugue, Cates and Colbert are captured and sent back to prison for their part in the robbery.
