After a freak occurence causes him to be bitten by a nuclear-radiated spider, university student Peter Parker finds he can climb up walls, has super strenght and a sixth-sense that warns him of danger.
Meanwhile, respectable New York citizens are carrying out robberies and killing themselves afterwards. A brain-washing mastermind has claimed responsibility for the robberies and is now black-mailing the city for $50 million otherwise he will command 10 more New Yorkers to kill themselves.
Using his great powers and intellect Peter must work fast to save the lives of the public and foil Byron's evil plans - all while evading the attention of police captain Barbera, and trying to keep the editor of the Daily Bugle, J. Jonah Jameson, happy.
